Candace K. BelAir
Widely recognized as an expert in presentation skills training, media skills, public speaking, crisis communications, leadership communication, and networking skills, Candace BelAir is one of the premier resources in communications in the country. She is an Emmy Award-winning reporter and producer, formerly with CNN, Newsweek, United Stations Radio Network, and KIRO-TV (Seattle’s CBS affiliate).
After 12 years as a broadcast journalist, Candace launched BelAir Training in 1995, a company dedicated to bridging the communications gap between the private sector and the media, and the business sector and the general public. With her first-hand knowledge and experience, Candace shares her “insider’s secrets” for succeeding in high-stakes presentations and appearances of all kinds. As a reporter, she conducted more than a thousand interviews—from the “man on the street” to President George Bush. She understands and teaches how effective communication skills can gain you positive recognition from your key audiences.
Candace has earned the highly competitive designation of “Professional Speaker” from the National Speakers Association, and is a popular presenter at business conventions and association meetings in the U.S. and abroad. Her clients—which include Microsoft, Amazon, Starbucks, Nintendo, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Washington State Patrol, and Washington Association of Prosecuting Attorneys—have been featured on TODAY, Dateline, Oprah, and Good Morning America; and in publications such as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Forbes.
